When I met with Alana and Eric at their home in the Haight in San Francisco for their engagement session, they invited me into their backyard to see if there were any photo opportunities there. They immediately pointed out that their landlord had chickens in the back, too, so when they asked if we should take pictures with the chickens, I said heck yeah!
Instantly, I knew that the rest of their engagement session was going to be fun. Both Alana and Eric are very lively and have a great sense of humor, and I could see right away why they were perfect for each other. We roamed around their neighborhood getting to know each other and taking photos before deciding to race the sun over to Fort Funston.
For those of you not familiar with Fort Funston, it's a beautiful beachy area with cliffs, kite flyers and hang gliders and dogs. Normally, Fort Funston can be pretty foggy, windy and cold, like most of the west edge of San Francisco. But on that Sunday afternoon with Alana and Eric, it was surprisingly warm and we had a clear view of the ocean and gorgeous sunset.
Thank you Alana and Eric for taking me to a part of the city I've never seen, and I'm looking forward to shooting your wedding this spring!
